About the Owner
My name is Monica Danielle Whitehead, a certified secondary English teacher and owner of The Write Fit Consulting, LLC. I have spent the last fifteen years dedicated to the study of reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking. One thing I know for sure: words are powerful. And it is my life’s passion to help others discover, develop, and master the art of communication through the written word. With a keen eye for detail, a command of the English language, and a passion for excellence, I will help you achieve your personal, professional and academic writing goals.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Arts from Hampton University and my master’s in English Education from New York University. I have over 10+ years of education experience as a tutor, secondary English teacher, adjunct professor, education advocate, and program director.
I am a skilled and experienced editor of fiction and nonfiction writing. My specialty is inspirational and Christian-based writing, including memoirs, novels, self-help books, workbooks, blog posts, and articles.
I currently reside in Metro Atlanta with my amazing husband and our two precocious sons. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, cooking, watching Netflix and spending quality time with my family.
Monica is brilliant. She pushes you to be better, and cheers you on along the way. She is professional and trustworthy. I’m so happy that we connected. My writing has become much more succinct since I began working with her a few months ago.

Throughout the process Ms. Monica was very professional, encouraging, communicative, supportive, precise, punctual and thoughtful. She went the extra mile to make sure everything worked out well with my book. I will be recommending her to everyone I know that is looking for an editor.

Put simply, Mrs. Monica is an amazing teacher! She takes the time to assess and correct your work and explain her corrections. She makes everything plain and simple which is so beneficial.
