1. I don’t consider myself a writer, but I’d like to share my story. Should I still pursue writing a book?

Absolutely. 100%. If you have a message and a story, you have what it takes to write a book. One of the important tasks of a good editor is to help you communicate that message through your unique story in a way that resonates with your target audience.

2. Do you offer any payment plans?

Yes! Upon request, I offer payment plans for editing services only.

3. I know I want to write a book, but I’m having trouble starting. What should I do?

There are a couple of ways you can do this.

Start with the reader in mind.

What exactly do you want your audience to get from your book? Do you want to teach them how to do something? Do you want to make them laugh? Complete the following statements about your potential book.

Start with freewriting

Open up a google doc or take out a notebook and simply start writing. You can describe a life event that relates to your theme, describe the main character of your novel or provide advice on a particular topic. Let all of your thoughts flow freely. Don’t try to correct your grammar or organize your thoughts–just write!

Start with an outline

You may be more of a structured, analytical person. In that case, begin with an outline or categories for writing. For example, if you know you want to write about relationships, come up with 10 topics or potential chapter subjects or titles. Then, take the chapter you know the most about and begin freewriting.
